Few teams are in a tougher position than the Rockies, who clearly aren’t a playoff-caliber team, yet have made significant investments- they’re essentially stuck in the middle of nowhere. It’s hard to get a beat for what they could do this offseason, though with little financial wiggle room, trading a player such as starting pitcher Jon Gray is definitely a possibility- they can’t afford to do nothing.
